Nivea King
President
My name is Nivea King, and I'm honored to serve as the PTA President for the 2025-2026 school year! With over 13 years of teaching experience in the Department of Defense and other top school districts, it has truly been aprivilege to be part of the Lynn Fanning PTA for the past three years. My family is a proud Navy family, grounded in our love for God. My husband has served actively for over a decade and currently balances life as a Navy reservist and a Microsoft employee. We have two wonderful sons-one is an enthusiastic 2nd grader here at LFES, and our oldest is a proud former student of MMIS and Meridianville Middle. He now attends the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering. I'm truly excited about the growth, possibilities, and partnerships this school year will bring. The Lynn Fanning community is something special, and I look forward to supporting our students, families, teachers, and staff together as we make this a fantastic year!
Katrina Brooks

Greetings! My name is Katrina Brooks, and I am the 1st Vice President of the PTA. I am a life-long learner and love reading. I enjoy watching young minds grow and explore. I support curiosity and the "struggle time" true learning needs to solidify. Lynn Fanning's teachers, staff, principals, and PTA members have a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with everyone to provide as much as we can for the children and the community. My goal for this school year is to foster the "Rise and Shine" mentality throughout the school and support in any way I can within my capacity. Let's go Panthers!
Alexandria Fife

Hey! I'm Alexandria Fife, vice president of the PTA board for 2025-2026 school year. My husband and I have lived in the area for the last 6 years. We have an 8 year old son at MMIS and a 6 year old daughter at LFES. We love the area and I am so grateful to be connected to this school, its students and their families through PTA. I am super excited and look forward to making a difference for a school that has done so much for my children over the last few years. Looking forward to this school year and being a part of this amazing Lynn Fanning community!
Sarah Laster

Hi, I'm Sarah Laster and I'm the Treasurer of the PTA for the 2025-26 school year. I am originally from this area & have loved planting my own family here. I was selected for this particular position because of my professional background in managing a large budget for the government for the last 16 years. I am *mom* to a second grader at LFES as well as a third grader at MMIS! I have absolutely loved every minute of getting to be a part of what goes on behind the scenes my past two years on the board to help support our school that we love so much. I am super excited that I've found a way to give back to the ones who are pouring into my kids and our community. I'm eager to see the growth this school year!
Michelle Towry

Hello, I'm Michelle Towry and I'm the Secretary of the PTA. I actually went to Lynn Fanning myself, so it's really special to be back and involved in a place that means so much to me. I'm mom to a first grader here at LFES and a third grader at MMIS. I'm so excited to be a part of an organization that gives back in such big ways to our students, teachers, and school. It's an honor to support the amazing people pouring into our kids each day. I'm looking forward to a great year of growth and connection together! HERE'S TO ANOTHER GREAT YEAR AT LFES!
