Valerie Johnson
President
Hi! I’m Valerie Johnson and I grew up in this area. I am so grateful to be the President of the PTA that my husband and I went to school at. We went to Lynn Fanning until sixth grade, so it is crazy to us to see how much our community has grown. We have a Senior at the University of Alabama who will be getting married in June, a third grader at MMIS who loves basketball and swimming, and a first grader at LFES who loves dance and cheer. I love how PTA connects us to the school and gives us a chance to meet so many new families. We make a great team and couldn’t do this without each other!
Brittany Rousset
Vice President
My name is Brittany Rousset and I am the Vice President of the PTA. I am a mom to a first grader at this school and a little one at home. I was invited to join the board by the President and I have enjoyed every moment of my duties thus far. What I love most about this PTA is how welcoming they are of any type of help. Some of us on the board work while others, like myself, bring along little helpers. We are all made to feel welcome with any type of help we can give and are able to show off our strengths through different types of service to this school. My position here gives me the opportunity to give back to those that are helping my little girl succeed and it also allows me to brainstorm new and fun ideas to help our kids enjoy their school year. I look forward to seeing what this school year brings!
Christina Lindblad

Hi! I’m Christina Lindblad. I am the Treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. In addition to my duties as the Treasurer I teach preschool part time. I have a daughter in the first grade here at LFES. We are so happy to be a part of this sweet school. I joined the PTA so I could be involved in my daughter’s school and help support our LFES community. It has been a great way to get to know the staff, teachers and the students here at school. We’re hoping for an exciting 2023-2024 school year!
Sarah Laster
Financial Vice President
I'm Sarah Laster and I'm the Financial Vice President of the PTA. I am originally from this area & have loved planting my own family here. I was selected for this particular position because of my professional background in managing a large budget for the government for the last 14 years. I am 'mom' to a kindergartener AND a first grader at LFES! I have absolutely loved every minute of getting to be a part of what goes on behind the scenes to help support our school that we love so much. I am super excited that I've found a way to give back to the ones who are pouring into my kids and our community. I'm eager to see the growth this school year!
Stephanie Waldeck

Hello, I am Stephanie Waldeck and I am this year's PTA secretary. I am a mother of four. I have two at MMIS, one in first grade at Lynn Fanning, and a toddler. I have volunteered in various organizations over the last 6 years so when my kids became school age, I was eager to get involved. Everyone was more than welcoming of a newbie and don’t mind if I bring my toddler to help volunteer. I am looking forward to helping to support our teachers, staff and school this year. I am excited to see all that we can accomplish during this school year!
